Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges that affect their health and wellbeing.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans utilizing appropriate social work interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to facilitate quality patient care and ensure continuity of services.

• Lead discharge planning processes by coordinating interactions with consulting physicians, third-party payers, and other stakeholders to optimize patient transitions from facility to home care.

• Offer education and therapeutic support to patients and families regarding coping mechanisms and adjustment strategies related to the patient's illness and life changes.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary and offer various forms of therapy, including brief and long-term individual, group, and family therapies.

• Present educational sessions to healthcare professionals and contribute to the continuing education of other clinicians working in oncology and related fields.

• Participate in community outreach programs that strengthen resources available for cancer survivors and their families while enhancing professional social work standards.

• Engage in clinical evaluations of oncology patients for symptoms of depression or anxiety, providing timely short-term counseling as needed.

• Be part of the on-call rotation to accommodate after-hour patient needs, demonstrating dedication to around-the-clock care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
