Production Planning Coordinator

Production Planning Coordinator ePac Flexible Packaging, a global leader in digital printing and packaging solutions, is opening a brand‑new plant in Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for a Production Planning Coordinator to build and manage production schedules from the ground up. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $65,000–$70,000 per year (Phoenix) Benefits include: 3 medical options, vision, employer‑paid short and long‑term disability, 401(k) with employer match, 120 hours PTO, paid holidays, potential profit sharing, and more. Responsibilities Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize capacity. Manage inventory levels, schedules, and raw material availability to meet production demands. Oversee monthly inventory physical counts and adjust inventory records accordingly. Complete shipping information and delivery dates during sales order reviews. Provide order status updates to sales and sales support teams. Review sales orders against current requirements and work‑in‑process using the material requirement planning report. Release sales orders and job tickets for production, and manage purchases to support plant production. Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, supply chain, and supervisors on material status and production planning issues. Follow all safety policies and procedures, and communicate unsafe practices. Support ISO and food safety practices (GMPs, etc.) compliance. Assist with trials, working with customers, operators, and product development. Review production reports, ensuring accurate recording of material consumption and production times. Record and correct errors in production data. Communicate daily with managers and operators regarding any issues or concerns; act as liaison when managers are off‑site. Motivate and retain critical personnel to meet and exceed company goals. Assist the Director of Operations with developing and distributing production schedules. Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Problem solving and analysis. Technical capacity: computer savvy, ability to learn ERP systems and manufacturing concepts. Decision making. Attention to detail. Communication proficiency. Collaboration skills. Experience & Education ERP systems experience is a plus. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent in operations management, supply chain, or related field preferred. Supervisory experience preferred but not required. Training in Continuous Improvement/LEAN principles. Knowledge of Google Suites preferred. Work Environment Operational duties involve mechanical parts and vibration. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires personal protective equipment (hairnet, steel‑toed shoes, facility‑specific uniform).
