Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students in an elementary Life Skills classroom in the Pflugerville area. Teach and uplift a class of 15 students, working in either the K-2 or 3rd-5th grade range, and help make a significant impact in their educational journeys.

You’ll manage case loads, create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collect data, and lead engaging lessons tailored for diverse learners, including students with autism and other disabilities. Supervise and mentor 3-4 dedicated paraprofessionals, guiding teamwork and collaboration within the classroom. Your expertise and empathy will play a pivotal role in building a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment for every student.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working in special education settings, particularly Life Skills or similar classrooms
• Strong background working with students with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Proven ability to write effective IEPs and manage compliance
• Skillful in data collection, student assessment, and instructional differentiation
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring classroom support staff
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills
