Billing Specialist

Warren Averett Recruiting is assisting a client in the Tampa, Florida area in their search for an E-Billing Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting the accurate and timely submission of electronic invoices and contributing to overall billing efficiency. The E-Billing Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of electronic invoices through various e-billing platforms, from initial submission through successful approval for payment. This individual will oversee assigned clients or accounts, including system setup, matter and timekeeper maintenance, and the resolution of invoice rejections or reductions. The position reports to the E-Billing Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Process finalized invoices electronically through approved e-billing platforms, including uploading LEDES files as required. Manage the end-to-end electronic billing process for assigned accounts, from invoice submission through payment approval, including appeals for short‑paid invoices. Monitor invoice status within e-billing systems and follow up to ensure timely progression. Research and resolve rejected invoices by coordinating with billing teams and other internal stakeholders. Communicate e-billing updates, requirements, and changes to appropriate team members. Support client or account onboarding and transitions from paper billing to electronic billing. Handle confidential and sensitive billing information with discretion. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external contacts. Provide administrative and operational support as needed. Respond to information requests and assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of electronic billing experience with working knowledge of e-billing platforms, LEDES formats, and invoice tracking systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Experience with billing or accounting software preferred. Education Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Warren Averett is an equal opportunity employer.
