Key Responsibilities\n

Your primary focus will be to deliver exceptional psychotherapy services to clients experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. The key responsibilities for this role include:

• Conducting in-depth clinical assessments that evaluate the mental health status and needs of each client.

• Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans based on established best practices, incorporating solution-focused interventions to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Utilizing therapeutic approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique preferences and challenges of each client.

• Maintaining meticulous clinical records in line with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, timely, and complete.

• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide holistic and coordinated patient care.

• Participating in ongoing case consultations and peer review sessions to continuously enhance the quality of care and share best practices.

• Educating patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources available to them.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will work with a varied demographic that includes individuals grappling with chronic illness, terminal conditions, and other mental health challenges typical of hospice care settings. Your role will involve both therapeutic support for patients and psychoeducation for families, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental health in a palliative care context.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited institution.

• Current licensing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in providing psychotherapy, preferably in hospice care or any outpatient mental health setting.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and their families.
