Job Description: A large healthcare organization is looking to hire a medical scheduler in San Diego CA. The Medical Scheduler supports the scheduling and referral process for outsourced radiology exams. This role is responsible for verifying patient eligibility, processing referrals, documenting orders, maintaining tracking spreadsheets, and coordinating with facilities, providers, and scheduling teams to ensure timely exam completion. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Process and track referrals for outsourced exams. Verify patient eligibility and referral information. Enter and maintain accurate data in Epic and other systems. Add detailed notes to patient orders for scheduling teams. Manage and update Excel tracking spreadsheets. Coordinate with facilities, schedulers, and providers regarding appointments and follow-ups. Monitor outstanding referrals and proactively resolve issues. Maintain accurate records and provide exceptional customer service.
