About the Role Health Care Technician II at Central Regional Hospital (CRH), a state‑operated psychiatric hospital in Butner, NC. The position functions as a Therapeutic Support Specialist II on the Screening and Admissions Unit (SAU), responsible for coordinating patient screening, admission processes, and compliance with EMTALA guidelines. Key Responsibilities Assist with screening and admissions of prospective patients. Coordinate and document admission protocols. Support patient care activities in a psychiatric setting. Maintain accurate records and communicate with interdisciplinary team. Qualifications Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Nursing Department Only). Must obtain notary within one year. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must obtain CPI Applied Physical Skills (APS) and CPR within 60 days. Ability to use computer, fax machine, and copy machine. Outstanding customer service and telephone etiquette. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $32,444.00 – $48,665.00. Signing bonus up to $15,000 available to newly hired CNAs, with incremental payments after 1, 12, and 18 months of service. Shift premiums: Day 5% (weekends), Evening 20% + 5% weekends, Night 10% + 5% weekends.
