Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Financial Resources, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Responsibilities As a Budget Analyst, you will: Track obligations, expenditures, and fund availability using financial tracking systems. Perform budget formulation, execution, and reconciliation activities. Interpret budget guidance and recommended process improvements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Conducting analyses of complex financial data using Excel pivot tables to reconcile obligations, expenditures, and budget transactions and support budget execution. Applying knowledge of general ledger and budgetary accounting to reconcile accounts, monitor obligations, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Solving complex budget and financial problems independently by analyzing issues, interpreting policies, and recommending process improvements.
