Campus and Parking Services Specialist (Substitute Pool)

Overview & Highlights The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Campus and Parking Services Specialist. The incumbent will provide protection to district property, guard against intrusion, theft, and vandalism, and make oral and written reports of any hazardous conditions affecting the security of district buildings and grounds. Job Summary In this role the employee will serve in a substitute pool and work assigned shifts of 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. or 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The assignment may last from 3 to 6 months. Responsibilities Protect district property and maintain security. Guard against intrusion, theft, and vandalism. Inspect and report hazardous conditions. Assist with parking and traffic control as needed. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; preference for one additional year of college coursework in a related field or completion of a security or law enforcement training program. Minimum six months of security work experience or parking and transportation services experience may substitute for one year of college coursework. Prefer at least one year of experience in a security assistant or similar assignment. Salary Hourly: $23.96 - $29.96. Monthly: $4,153 - $5,193 (based on 40 hours per week). Initial placement at Step A ($23.96 per hour).
