Health And Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS/HSE) programs. This position will have a strong focus on auditing HSE management systems, maintaining ISO compliance, identifying system gaps, and driving corrective and preventive actions across the organization. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 50001 , along with a strong understanding of internal and external audit processes, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate internal, external, and compliance audits of HSE management systems. Plan, conduct, document, and follow up on audits related to ISO 14001 Environmental Management, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety, and ISO 50001 Energy Management systems. Evaluate HSE processes, procedures, documentation, and operational controls for compliance and effectiveness. Identify nonconformities, observations, risks, and opportunities for improvement through systematic auditing. Develop and track corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans through successful resolution and verification of effectiveness. Maintain audit schedules, checklists, findings, corrective-action records, and management-system documentation. Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, and other departments to address audit findings and strengthen HSE performance. Monitor changes in applicable environmental, health, safety, and energy regulations and standards and ensure management systems remain compliant. Support management reviews by providing audit results, compliance trends, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement. Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, incident investigations, and compliance evaluations. Establish and monitor HSE performance indicators and identify trends requiring corrective action. Drive continuous improvement initiatives designed to reduce workplace risk, environmental impact, energy consumption, and compliance exposure. Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, supervisors, and management. Maintain accurate HSE records, procedures, permits, audit documentation, and regulatory reporting. Serve as a key resource during certification audits and surveillance audits , coordinating responses and ensuring timely closure of findings. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field ; equivalent experience may be considered. 5+ years of progressive HSE/EHS experience , preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated experience conducting or managing HSE management-system audits . Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 50001 . Knowledge of applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, risk assessment, and continuous improvement methodologies . Strong documentation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all organizational levels. Preferred Qualifications Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification/training. Experience supporting ISO certification and recertification audits . CSP, ASP, CHMM, CIH, or other relevant professional certification. Experience with integrated EHS management systems . Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methodologies. Experience with HSE software, audit-management systems, and data analytics.
