This opportunity is designed for an attorney who wants to develop and expand a civil litigation practice. Based on your interests and background, you can structure your practice around Labor & Employment matters or a mixture of other areas if preferred. The role offers the chance to take meaningful ownership of cases, contribute across multiple stages of litigation, and grow within a firm that values high-quality advocacy, professional development, and practical collaboration. This is a hybrid position with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of civil litigation matters across your chosen practice area(s)
• Handle matters through multiple stages of litigation, from early case assessment through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct depositions, court appearances, hearings, and other litigation-facing responsibilities
• Partner with colleagues and firm leadership to develop case strategy and advance client objectives
• Represent clients in a professional, responsive manner across a range of contested matters
• Support litigation needs across insurance defense, commercial/business disputes, coverage issues, and general civil matters as needed
• Maintain strong case management practices, including organization, communication, and timely progress on assignments
• Contribute to a collaborative office and firmwide environment focused on quality advocacy and client service

Requirements

• 2 to 10+ years of litigation experience, with flexibility for the right candidate
• Expectation to meet 1800 billable hours annually
• Experience in Labor & Employment litigation or a combination of practice areas preferred
• Additional experience in business/commercial litigation or real estate is valued
• Demonstrated ability to draft litigation documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery, and legal analysis
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and exercise sound professional judgment
• Experience with depositions, hearings, and court appearances is preferred
• Interest in building a broad civil litigation practice within a national firm platform
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment from one of the listed office markets
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
