Charleroi, PA : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced  CNC Machinist responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality, precision-machined parts according to specifications. This position requires strong machining knowledge, blueprint interpretation, precision measurement skills, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and maintain quality standards.

Essential Duties:

• Operate and program CNC lathes to produce high-precision parts and components.
• Perform machine setups and calibrations, including programming and tool management.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify product quality and specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC machine issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machining equipment.
• Mentor and train junior machinists on machining techniques and best practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Use a forklift to empty chip bins and assist with general shop housekeeping as needed.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or directly relevant experience preferred.
• 5+ years of machining experience preferred.
• Previous quality control inspection and tool measurement experience preferred.
• CNC lathe setup, operation, and programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision inspection and measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to become a certified forklift operator and maintain safe operating practices.
• Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to continuously lift/carry and push/pull up to 10 lbs. and occasionally handle weights up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, squat, reach above and below the shoulders, climb stairs/ladders, grasp, and perform repetitive arm and wrist movements.
• Continuous repetitive hand use.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and stand or walk as required throughout the workday.
• Ability to continuously work with or near machinery and power tools and operate foot pedals.
• Ability to work primarily indoors with exposure to excessive noise and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, temperature extremes, dust, fumes, electricity, chemicals, and heights.
• Must possess the near vision, color vision, and peripheral vision necessary to safely perform precision machining work.
• Must be able to work in an industrial environment where applicable hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and hazard communication safety requirements are followed.
