Business Development Specialist, Transportation

Responsibilities Conduct research via all available methods to gain knowledge and direction for the market Add and update key accounts and partners data & profile information within CRM (STAR) Use CRM (STAR) to log each interaction with all contacts and understand all past, present, and future educational projects Develop a business plan and outline goals annually Work with marketing department to develop and implement vertical market specific collateral as well as event planning to include dinners, sponsorships, and other requests as necessary Collaborate and communicate with the sales team to develop and maintain key account and partner relationshipsDemonstrate strong interpersonal and creative problem solving skills Write case studies, white papers, and editorial on data centers as requested Attend industry related tradeshows and conferences as well as partnership summits and open houses, and interact with executive level decision makers Requirements Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred or relevant industry experience Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience with CRM software Proven customer development skills with C-Suite experience preferred Strong and previously demonstrated presentation skills 2+ years of successful PSS outside sales experience or other industry related successful outside sales experience and proven results to achieve / exceed targets Experience selling in a matrix organization and navigating through the executive levels of large multi-level customers Knowledge of working with architects, engineers, school districts, colleges and universities to secure specifications.
