Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Senior Electrical Design Engineer role on the Acute Care business unit's electrical engineering team, focusing on patient handling and care equipment. Responsibilities span circuit design, prototype development, testing, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical circuits and subsystems for medical devices
- Review and modify C/C++ code to support product functionality and performance
- Conduct electrical system testing and evaluate designs for compatibility, reliability, and safety
- Build prototypes and perform bench testing activities
- Coordinate engineering changes and maintain quality management system documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Proficiency with CAD, CAE, simulation, PCB layout, and circuit analysis tools
- Knowledge of electrical components, manufacturing methods, and design processes
- Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC principles and troubleshooting techniques
- Understanding of wired communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485)
Compensation: $77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual
