Project Manager

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Project Manager in Honolulu, Hawaii to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Impact
- Drive successful project outcomes across multi-trade mechanical scope including HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal
- Serve as the single point of contact between ownership, general contractors, and internal teams
- Strengthen financial performance through disciplined budget management and change order control
- Mentor and coordinate project teams to build long-term operational excellence

Responsibilities
- Manage overall project performance including scope, schedule, budget, and risk mitigation
- Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and Design-Build RFPs to ensure full contract compliance
- Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings across all trades to maintain project timelines
- Lead procurement and buyout of major equipment and subcontractors, tracking releases and deliveries
- Oversee subcontractor management and ensure quality of subcontracted work
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings and weekly project management team meetings
- Walk jobsites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Manage change orders including pricing, scoping, and documentation
- Coordinate communications upstream with clients, consultants, and GCs, and downstream with divisions and field teams
- Oversee post-construction warranty and customer service obligations

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial mechanical or HVAC construction
- Proven ability to manage multi-trade projects from estimate through closeout
- Strong understanding of project budgets, cost controls, and accounting systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
- Experience with Bluebeam, project management software, and Microsoft Office
- Stable work history demonstrating progressive responsibility

Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Design-Build and GMP project delivery
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and VDC workflows
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
