Avalon is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants hands-on experience across billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions while working alongside a collaborative and experienced finance team.

What You'll Do
- Assist with accounts receivable collections and account follow-up
- Support customer billing and invoicing activities
- Process and apply customer payments
- Support accounts payable and payment processing activities
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities and journal entries
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
- Partner with Finance team members on special projects and process improvements
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent
- 0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, billing, or finance experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career
