Customer Support Specialist

Customer Support Representative GCG's Custom Engineered Solutions (CES) business unit is currently seeking Customer Support Representatives to support our OEM and Industrial customers and Account Managers. This role manages day-to-day customer orders, coordinates with internal teams on production and delivery, and proactively resolves issues to ensure an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm CST or EST What you'll do Process and manage customer orders, including POs, EDI, and related documentation Support Account Managers and customers with order status, production schedules, delays, and supply chain updates Coordinate order changes, including expedites, pushouts, cancellations, and rescheduling Manage customer complaints and RMAs through resolution Maintain accurate customer records, open-order reports, and communication logs Support contract amendments and special projects Partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams to resolve issues and meet customer needs Perform other duties What you'll bring 3+ years of Customer Service, Customer Support, or Sales Support experience; previous experience with distribution or manufacturing preferred but not required High School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business applications Experience using an ERP system Experience managing high volumes of online orders, ensuring accuracy Experience in processing RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations), including initiating, tracking, and completing return requests Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements in a deadline-driven environment Professional verbal and written communication and listening skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Experience with wire, cable, electrical, or electronics manufacturing is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary, starting at $50,000 per year based on relevant industry experience Comprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options (CDHP and PPO) to get you the coverage you need Robust Financial Security: Company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, plus options for supplemental critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plans Generous Time Off: PTO plan with paid holidays, paid parental leave, and paid compassionate care leave to support personal well-being and family needs Wellness & Support Programs: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellness incentives, and telehealth access Extras That Matter: Dental and vision plans, FSAs/HSAs with company contributions, pet insurance, legal services, and ID theft protection for peace of mind An employee-centric company that values and truly appreciates our most important asset: You!
