R&D Technician

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, to support the electrical design, development and delivery of switch-mode power supplies used within Industrial, Healthcare and Technology applications. This position will require testing, troubleshooting, calibration, repairs of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Work in a R&D team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers and technicians on supporting product design in line with XP Core Values.
• Provide technical expertise in new basic product design and modification of existing products.
• Responsible for the building of prototypes to documentation
• Working closely with the electrical and mechanical design engineers and technicians to achieve the optimum solution
• Constructing and testing of early prototype breadboards and magnetics
• Perform fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, and root cause analysis of product issues, while ensuring efficient bug tracking and resolution.
• Deliver comprehensive technical reports
• Participate in new product development during the qualification phase for training and ramp-up.
