Duties & Responsibilities The Program Support Coordinator will provide administrative supportto the clinical staff, maintain inventory of the OTC medicationsand expiration dates. The Coordinator will maintain the schedulesof the EHR system and report any scheduling concerns to theAssociate Administrative Director. Typical Duties Provide administrative support for clinical services so thatpatients are seen promptly and the clinic operates smoothly. Schedule practitioners utilizing Pyramed software ensuringappointments are scheduled accurately. Maintain a patient appointment system and manage walk-ins. Answer phones, schedule appointments, register patients byverifying eligibility and reviewing patient information forcompleteness and accuracy. Manage daily clinic schedule and room assignments to ensureproper clinic coverage and organization. Monitor fiscal operations. Organize medical records to ensure completeness andavailability of the records Minimum Qualifications Medical business office skills such as patient and clinicianmanagement, medical records management, and fiscal operations arenecessary. Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping. Excellent professional customer service is a must. High School diploma or equivalent and at least two yearsexperience in business office experience. Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment ofrespect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty,staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or acommitment to do so as a staff member at VCU. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a business office in an ambulatory care settingis preferred.
