This full-time, remote position is based out of our Detox Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide outpatient therapy to individuals and families significantly affected by a cancer diagnosis. This role focuses on applying evidence-based practices to promote positive mental health outcomes while working within the state professional counselor's scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, accurately diagnosing and evaluating patient status using recognized clinical tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

• Create tailored plans of care by considering cultural diversity and specific patient needs, ensuring the design of a comprehensive and effective treatment strategy.

• Continuously monitor patient progress, implementing interventions and strategies that align with their mental health diagnosis, documenting all facets of care in accordance with health regulations and organizational policies.

• Collaborate with patients and their support networks to develop clear treatment objectives and action plans, ensuring shared understanding and adherence to care theories.

• Facilitate connections with additional treatment resources and providers, acting as a liaison throughout the patient’s journey to ensure comprehensive support.

• Educate and mentor students, interns, and volunteers in the field of social work, passing on valuable insights and fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.

• Engage in peer-to-peer evaluations, clinical collaboration, and auditing under the guidance of clinical supervisors to reinforce team efficacy and personal development.

In your practice, you will primarily work with individuals and families affected by cancer, utilizing empathy and professional acumen to guide them through emotional and psychological challenges. Addressing both mental health and social needs, you will aim to reduce barriers to care and enhance patients’ overall wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active State License as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
