As a Security Guard Patrol Driver Enhanced Part Time in Houston, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.26 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat – 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support visitor management processes in accordance with location policies and client expectations. Support day‑to‑day operations by communicating clearly with staff and/or emergency responders, following post orders, and maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
