Procurement Manager (Newnan, GA)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (First Shift); occasional Saturdays as needed

Salary: $75,000–$120,000/year (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee strategic sourcing and purchasing for our metal manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience procuring raw materials for the steel industry and a strong background in supplier negotiations and cost management.

Required Qualifications

• Required: Procurement experience in the steel industry, including mill purchasing and coal purchasing.
• Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of steel markets, raw material sourcing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase steel, coal, and other raw materials.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with mills and suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and manage supplier relationships.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with production to ensure material availability.
• Track supplier performance and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Steel industry procurement experience, including mill and coal purchasing, is required. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 30lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 3 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
