Job Title: Commercial Property Accountant

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Location: Newport Beach, CA

Work Schedule: 100% On-Site, Monday–Friday (Core business hours are 9 AM - 4 PM PST)

Compensation: $95k–$110k base salary DOE + 10% Bonus + Comprehensive Health Benefits + 401(k) with up to 3% Match

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
• 2+ years of Commercial Real Estate accounting experience
• Proficient with Yardi Voyager 7/8 experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Comfortable working independently in a fully on-site environment

Preferred:

• Tax experience

Job Details

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This role will handle property-level accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and CAM-related activities while working independently from the Newport Beach office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly property financials and supporting schedules
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Review accounts payable and property-level transactions
• Complete CAM reconciliations and upload annual CAM charges
• Allocate expenses across multiple properties/entities
• Maintain accurate accounting records and support month-end close
• Partner with property management and accounting leadership as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
• 2+ years of Commercial Real Estate accounting experience
• Strong Yardi Voyager 7/8 experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Ability to work independently in a 100% on-site environment

Preferred:

• Tax experience
