Billing Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in Melville to identify a Research Billing Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance professional who enjoys problem-solving, financial analysis, billing, collections, and working in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in managing the financial lifecycle of clinical research studies while serving as a liaison between research sites and study sponsors. Location: Melville, NY (Remote with in-office collaboration two days per month) Salary: $62,000 - $69,000 annually Key Responsibilities: Review and approve research budgets to ensure accuracy and consistency. Generate monthly invoices to study sponsors based on research activity. Manage high-volume collections and conduct follow-up on outstanding invoices. Reconcile sponsor payments and process timely payments to research sites. Analyze and reconcile financial data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues. Perform final financial reconciliations upon study completion. Maintain accurate financial records and support ongoing departmental projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business preferred, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, billing, collections, or related financial operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Capable of learning new software systems quickly.
