Legal Billing Specialist
Company/Industry: Well-established law firm
Location: Woodbury, NY (Long Island)
Salary: $65-85K/yr depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate, plus benefits
Status: Direct Hire, In-Office FT
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain and invoice monthly and quarterly billing for assigned clients
Review time entries to ensure accuracy and that client guidelines are being adhered to
Review and process write offs, transfers and other time and expense adjustments
Review new and updated billing guidelines to ensure proper compliance
Ensure bills are submitted promptly through the clients e-billing system
Appeal client reductions to submitted invoices
Prepare system generated reports such as AR Summary, Billing History and Aged WIP
Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and unapplied funds
Prepare spreadsheets and other documentation as needed
Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of legal billing and electronic billing experience
Experience with E-Billing software
Strong command of English language and writing skills to ensure efficient communication with clients and attorneys
Knowledge of legal billing processes and related software applications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.00 - $85,000.00
