Accounting Manager - Manufacturing A well-established manufacturing company located south of Bostonis seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its growing team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations and guiding a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a strategic mindset who can drive financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Compensation: $110,000-130,000 + bonus On-site 4-5 days/week Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, AP/AR, cash, and commissions Oversee the preparation and timely distribution of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports Perform advanced financial analysis to assess and forecast company performance; present insights and scenarios to leadership Develop and deliver financial reporting to support cross-functional business needs Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including hiring and performance management Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements Ensure accuracy of payroll accounting and reconciliation to third-party reports Support audits, financial reviews, company valuation, and external reporting requirements Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the quality and accuracy of financial reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and implement effective processes and controls Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and reporting requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 10+ years of accounting/finance experience 5+ years in a leadership role with direct supervisory responsibility Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office, payroll systems, and ERP systems (ERP implementation experience required!)
