Stock Clerk I - Distributing

Job Overview Location: Methodist Women's Hospital, 707 N. 190th Plaza - Elkhorn, NE Schedule: 24 hours/week, Friday – Monday, 12:30pm to 7:00pm Provides supplies and equipment to patient floors and other areas throughout the hospital to ensure patient needs are met. Responsibilities Maintains adequate medical supply levels by replenishing in the SCM established par/supply location and entering data into the computerized ordering system to meet par levels. Delivers requested supplies to the assigned replenishment location following Supply Chain procedures to ensure timely receipt by departments. Collects (and where required, cleans) patient equipment following Infection Prevention standard procedures and returns it to requesting units to maintain adequate stock. Restocks the Central Supply area daily, rotating supplies and removing items near expiration to keep all supplies used within recommended timeframes. Collects, returns, and credits unused supplies from SCM par/supply locations in accordance with Supply Chain procedures. Communicates with the Lead Inventory Coordinator about supply replenishment issues to maintain adequate levels. Assists with various Supply Chain functions as needed, including receiving, mailroom, etc. Learns and operates handheld devices and other department equipment. Handles specialized customer requests efficiently and accurately, using proper phone etiquette, obtaining accurate information, and responding to pager requests promptly. Completes all tasks and duties assigned by the Supply Chain Manager. Actively participates in continuous improvements within the Supply Chain organization. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred. Experience: Six months of previous inventory restocking experience preferred. License/Certification: N/A. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers required; basic computer and handheld data entry skills preferred; basic medical terminology skills preferred; ability to read, write, and comprehend written reports and documents required.
