About the Role

The Government Business Development role is responsible for leading government outreach efforts, writing and reviewing proposals, driving future growth initiatives, and representing the organization at relevant conferences and events.

This role will be 100% remote, with periodic Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct government outreach to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Write, review, and refine proposals for government contracts and funding opportunities.
• Serve as a leader for future growth initiatives in the government sector.
• Attend and represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and networking events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders and partners.
• Monitor government procurement portals and RFPs to identify relevant opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with government needs and requirements.

Required Skills

• Experience with government outreach or public sector relationship management.
• Strong proposal writing and proposal review skills.
• Ability to lead growth initiatives and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in government business development or government contracting.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes and RFP responses.
• Experience attending and networking at industry conferences and government events.
• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, political science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
