Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Prime Stride Recovery Clinic, you will work onsite in a collaborative rehabilitation center. You will work in close proximity to other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, enhancing interdisciplinary communication and integrated patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments by reviewing patients' medical histories and consulting with them to understand their physical conditions and symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop tailored treatment plans that align with best practice standards.
• Educate patients on therapeutic exercise techniques and ensure they are properly understood and applied during their rehabilitation.
• Administer targeted treatments, including therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, and exercises that aim to reduce pain and enhance mobility.
• Assist patients in using physical therapy-related equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and resistance machines, ensuring safety and efficacy.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records documenting assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Communicate with and advise both patients and their families on in-home care strategies and exercises that will support continued recovery post-treatment.
• Collaborate with fellow medical professionals to share insights and updates about patient care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic predominantly serves a diverse patient population ranging from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults rehabilitating from hip and knee replacements. You will encounter a variety of conditions, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical recovery cases, giving you the chance to refine your physical therapy skills across different demographics and health challenges.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, ensuring you are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in the field.
