Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position requires onsite work within our outpatient office located in vibrant Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans that aim to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function and mobility, in alignment with each client's unique needs.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring effective execution of treatment plans and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical conditions using diagnostic tools and tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint function, tailoring interventions based on the results.
• Assess the client's home environment and recommend modifications to enhance independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administer prescribed therapy treatments including manual exercises, traction, massage, and other physical agents to facilitate recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust assistive devices like prosthetics and orthotics, and communicate necessary adjustments to the medical team.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with both legal and organizational standards.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated treatment approach that prioritizes the client's health and well-being.
• Provide educational guidance and consult with clients and their families about therapeutic devices, care programs, and techniques to ensure effective home execution.
• Participate actively in clinical team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaboratively strategize on care plans.
• Fulfill administrative tasks, including timely documentation and compliance with branch policies.
• Ensure availability to support Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions to guarantee outstanding patient care.
• Take on additional assignments and responsibilities as necessary to meet the company's goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Motion Menders Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in outpatient care settings.
• Current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• CPR certification must be up-to-date.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate home visits as necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in both acute and home care environments is advantageous.
• Solid foundation in rehabilitative practices and an understanding of current therapies and technologies in the field.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time Physical Therapist position is between USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
