Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical function, strengths, limitations, and healthcare needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, integrating specific goals and objectives to facilitate recovery.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to treat orthopedic injuries, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and patient education.
• Regularly re-evaluate and modify treatment plans according to patient progress and feedback, ensuring adaptability in therapeutic approaches.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them about therapeutic processes and preventative care strategies.
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately, ensuring compliance with billing procedures and healthcare standards.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to the Florida State Practice Act and other regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide integrated care for patients.
• Demonstrate the appropriate use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment, while ensuring patient safety and comfort during treatments.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Life and Wellness Services, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will treat individuals of all ages, adapting your approach to meet the specific developmental and physical needs of each patient. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program in physical therapy.
