Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while you provide support and guidance to clients across California. Our telehealth facility utilizes advanced technology to ensure smooth communication with clients, offering convenience and accessibility. Counselors work closely with a collaborative team, participating in virtual meetings and trainings, thus maintaining a supportive work culture despite the physical distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for each client session in accordance with company protocols and guidelines.
• Work in collaboration with case managers, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each client’s needs.
• Regularly attend clinical staff meetings and relevant training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health.
• Foster a vibrant team culture by actively contributing ideas and feedback that promote cooperation and support among colleagues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account clients’ developmental stages and family dynamics to guide effective interventions.
• Assess clients’ mental health diagnoses, craft and execute treatment plans, and complete necessary ongoing documentation, including case notes and treatment plan reviews.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to champion mental health initiatives that resonate with community needs, continually adapting approaches for effectiveness.
• Employ innovative and creative strategies in therapy sessions that encourage clients to meet and exceed their personal goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse array of clients facing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and behavioral issues. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems, with knowledge of Valant being a notable advantage.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
• A Track record of flexibility and adaptability when working with a diverse clientele.
• Efficiency in completing documentation and reports in a timely manner.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, offering insight into remote counseling methodologies.
• Experience with specific therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
• Previous roles that involved collaboration with multidisciplinary teams or community stakeholders.

• Competitive annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 122,000 based on experience and qualifications.
