What You'll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology, hematology, and BMT patients
- Administer medications and treatments, including bedside CVC placements and biopsies
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to urgent needs
- Document patient progress using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
- Support patients and families through complex treatment regimens
- Assist with equipment setup and safety protocols in a positive pressure unit
What You Need
- Active RN license in Louisiana or willing to license promptly
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Prior experience with Epic EMR and oncology patient care
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
About the Assignment
Join a dedicated team caring for hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients in a 7-bed positive pressure unit. The role features a mix of bedside procedures, medication management, and collaborative care, with weekend coverage every other day.
