We are seeking two dedicated Special Education professionals for a contract position for the upcoming school year. This opportunity begins in late August 2026 and runs through early June 2027, offering the chance to impact students in both a Multiple Disabilities (MD) classroom and an Emotional Disabilities (ED) classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current Special Education Teacher licensure
• Experience or familiarity with students with multiple disabilities, autism, non-verbal needs, physical impairments, or significant cognitive delays
• Understanding of emotional and behavioral disabilities, including implementing BIPs, crisis intervention, and providing social-emotional learning
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, support staff, and families
• Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to individualized student success
• Previous experience in a public school setting is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in a classroom setting with 9-12 students (MD focus) and 10-15 students (ED focus)
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment
• Utilize evidence-based strategies for instruction, communication, and behavioral intervention
• Collaborate with a team of professionals, including therapists, aides, and building staff
• Contribute to crisis prevention and response as needed
• Work primarily in one building for the academic year
