About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Infrastructure to take the helm of its global infrastructure, specifically for a high-scale, always-on gaming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the platforms that support live game operations, real-time multiplayer systems, and player services across cloud and hybrid environments. This pivotal role involves leading a large team of engineers across various specializations, including DevOps, SRE, networking, and database engineering, and driving the infrastructure strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and automation. The VP of Infrastructure will also be a key partner to game studios, product, and engineering leadership, supporting global launches and live operations to deliver seamless player experiences. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in leadership roles within gaming or interactive entertainment, with a proven track record in building low-latency, highly available systems for multiplayer or live service games. Strong cloud and hybrid infrastructure experience, particularly with GCP, deep Kubernetes expertise, and a background in VMware or similar virtualization are essential. The role requires a leader with a strong focus on observability, automation, and reliability, and experience in infrastructure-as-code, budgeting, and vendor management is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a background that spans DevOps, SRE, networking, and databases, and a passion for the gaming industry.
