Role Overview
Contribute expert STEM knowledge to train, evaluate, and improve AI coding agents by documenting real-world workflows, debugging and architecture decisions, and tool integrations across complex technical projects. Your domain experience will help shape how next-generation AI systems learn, reason, and perform. No prior experience in AI is required, your subject-matter expertise is what matters.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate and document real-world use cases of AI coding agents within complex STEM projects, highlighting distinct workflows and outcomes.
- Describe technical challenges addressed with AI agents, for example navigating large codebases, debugging, building features, or driving architectural innovation.
- Explain tools and methodologies used, including how AI agents were integrated into technical problem-solving processes.
- Provide detailed written and verbal feedback on strengths, limitations, and context-specific performance of AI agents across diverse technical scenarios.
- Contribute concrete examples, insights, and structured data that support improvements in AI agent reasoning and task execution.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators to refine task guidelines and clarify expectations for deliverables as needed.
- Required skills: experience with AI coding agents, debugging, system architecture, technical documentation, and strong written and verbal communication.
- Preferred qualifications: current STEM professional with hands-on experience using AI coding agents in real technical settings, familiarity with multiple AI coding agents or tools beyond basic autocomplete or code suggestion, and a proven record working with large codebases or system-level architecture.
- Ability to handle complex, ambiguous, or large-scale technical challenges using AI tools, and to work independently to produce clear, actionable documentation and feedback.
