Key Responsibilities\n

• Create and maintain thorough client records by preparing intake summaries, treatment plans, and case documentation to track progress and ensure continuity of care.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs, and collaboratively develop individualized treatment strategies that reflect their unique goals.

• Engage with clients and their families, providing guidance on following treatment plans, medication schedules, and strategies for coping with mental health challenges.

• Collaborate with medical professionals to screen clients for psychotropic medications, facilitating prescribed treatments and ensuring patient safety within the scope of your practice.

• Provide consultations to fellow care providers and health educators to discuss and strategize on mental health concerns, integrating knowledge of health psychology and behavioral medicine into comprehensive holistic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, particularly those engaged with the Los Angeles School District. Your role will be critical in supporting clients through various challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and behavioral problems. By focusing on family dynamics and individual experiences, you will provide tailored support that promotes healthier relationships and coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A valid California License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals from the American Heart Association.
