About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Lead for our Forward Deployed Solutions team to lead the evolution of our technical operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will lead a team of solution engineers responsible for client-facing technical solutions, custom implementations, and partner success. This is a true Player-Coach role (50% technical leadership & AI strategy / 50% hands-on client architecture). You will be tasked with transforming our frontline technical support into a proactive, high-value Forward Deployed Engineering unit. Instead of managing ticket queues, you will lead the implementation of AI deflection systems, empower your team to solve root cause issues, and serve as the lead technical architect for our strategic enterprise clients in Brazil and globally.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Team Coaching (50%)

• People Management & Evolution: Manage, mentor, and upskill a team of solutions engineers, evolving team culture from reactive ticket resolution to proactive partner solutions architecture.
• AI Workflows & Deflection Automation: Design, build, and maintain internal AI-driven tools, automated deflection workflows, and self-serve technical documentation to systematically eliminate low-tier, repetitive queries.
• Partner Success & Health Metrics: Take accountability for partner technical health, monitoring revenue performance, deployment success, and technical SLAs across partner accounts.

2. Hands-On Forward Deployed Engineering (50%)

• Brazilian Market Technical Lead: Serve as the primary technical partner for high-value clients in Brazil. Lead complex technical integrations, architectural reviews, and troubleshooting sessions fluently in Portuguese. When feasible solve custom technical issues on the fly.
• Advanced Solutions & Custom Code: Dive into JavaScript, APIs, network requests, and ad server configs to build custom solutions, resolve edge-case integrations, and prevent publisher downtime.
• Engineering & Product Feedback Loop: Partner directly with the Director of Engineering and internal product teams to convert recurring partner pain points into long-term product features and architectural enhancements.

Who You Are

• The Player-Coach Leader: You have 5+ years of software/solutions engineering experience, including 1–2+ years as a technical lead, team lead, or engineering manager who enjoys mentoring others.
• AI-Forward Builder: You don't just use AI; you build with it. You have practical experience building or configuring workflow automation, LLM API integrations, or automated knowledge loops to streamline technical operations.
• Bilingual Communicator: Native or fluent spoken and written Portuguese (to lead Brazilian client accounts) and fluent English (to collaborate with engineering leadership and global teams).
• Web & Ad-Tech Engineer: Proficient in front-end web technologies (JavaScript ES6+, HTML/CSS, REST APIs, protocols) and Chrome DevTools debugging. Hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM), Prebid.js, Header Bidding, or SDK integrations is highly preferred.
• Partner-Obsessed: You measure success by the commercial and technical growth of your partners, not just ticket volume.
