The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite at our hospital facility, engaging with a diverse patient population in an interactive and dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physical therapists to deliver effective physical therapy interventions and promote patient recovery, including conducting therapeutic exercises and developing functional training regimes.
• Assist patients in performing prescribed exercises while providing guidance, support, and motivation to enhance their rehabilitation experience.
• Monitor patient progress, document findings in their medical records, and adjust care strategies in response to patient needs and latest research in the field.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, providing input to the supervising physical therapist on modifying interventions for improved patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards while practicing and enhance your knowledge through continuous education and training opportunities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to collective insights regarding patient care strategies and outcomes.
• Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist Assistant will primarily work with a broad spectrum of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. You will play a vital role in facilitating functional independence and quality of life improvements for each individual, providing compassionate care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or an Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Licensure: Must hold a current and valid license or relevant certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Skills: Proven ability to effectively communicate treatment plans to patients and exhibit empathy, patience, and understanding, respecting individual differences and needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and healthcare management software.
• Experience with a wide range of physical modalities and therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound therapy is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
