Proposal Manager

Our client is an innovative space software company revolutionising the way satellite missions are designed, managed, and operated. Through a cloud‑native mission orchestration platform, they enable commercial and government organisations to accelerate mission development, reduce costs, and simplify the end‑to‑end mission lifecycle. As the company continues to grow, they’re looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to play a key role in securing new business across the space sector. Key Responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end proposal process from opportunity qualification through submission. Develop proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and submission plans. Coordinate technical, commercial, pricing, and management inputs across cross‑functional teams. Manage proposal efforts for both prime contractor and subcontractor opportunities. Ensure all proposals are compliant, compelling, and delivered on schedule. Facilitate proposal reviews and incorporate feedback into final deliverables. Work closely with engineering, business development, finance, and leadership throughout the proposal lifecycle. Help develop scalable proposal processes while maintaining the flexibility needed in a fast‑paced startup environment. Key Requirements Proven experience managing government and/or commercial proposal efforts. Experience leading proposals as both a prime contractor and subcontractor. Strong understanding of proposal management best practices and compliance requirements. Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability. Experience within the aerospace, defence, or space industry. Familiarity with government customers such as DoD, Space Force, NASA, SDA, or equivalent organisations is advantageous. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high‑growth startup environment.
