Job Description

We are seeking a skilled RN for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, and experience with cardiac, heparin, and insulin drips, along with troubleshooting wound vacs. Experience with peritoneal dialysis and peripheral IV skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly rounding on days and every 2 hours at night.
• Maintain effective communication through patient care communication boards.
• Utilize available techs for patient care support and assistance.
• Execute advanced nursing procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, and central line dressing changes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in good standing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with tube feedings, NG/dobhoff tubes, and caring for stroke and post-cardiac cath patients.
• Ability to work within a teamwork-oriented culture.
