Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing essential support as a Sign Language Interpreter at a welcoming elementary school near North Fort Myers, FL. This full-time, on-site position runs from August through May and offers the rewarding opportunity to help DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) students thrive academically and socially.

You’ll work in a vibrant school environment as the dedicated interpreter for one elementary campus, supporting students both one-on-one and in small groups. As part of the school community, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and staff to ensure accessible communication and foster student success across a variety of classroom settings.

Key Qualifications:

• 3.0 EIPA score or higher, demonstrating proficiency in educational interpreting
• Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
• Strong ability to facilitate communication between DHH students, teachers, and peers
• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be comfortable with on-site work only (no virtual option)
• Ability to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing processes as outlined by state guidelines
