Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your passion for accessible communication to a dynamic elementary school setting, supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students through in-person interpretation. Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification with a score of 3.0 EIPA or higher.
• Proficient in American Sign Language and interpreting within school settings.
• Comfortable working full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) at a single elementary school site.
• Fingerprint clearance through AHCA Clearinghouse required; candidates with prior clearance may expedite the process.
• Willingness to obtain a JLA badge after fingerprint approval (processing may take up to 10 business days).
• Previous experience supporting DHH students—individually and in groups—is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in a school environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver sign language interpreting for DHH students, fostering access to the general education curriculum.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and staff to ensure seamless communication.
• Support a consistent caseload at one designated elementary school site throughout the academic year.
• Adapt interpretation styles to suit both individual and group settings as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in alignment with school policies and relevant codes of ethics.
