Location: Beaumont, TX
Starting Pay: $16.00–$23.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time | In Person

Iron Horse is looking for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team in Beaumont, Texas.

This position supports our Cost Controller by helping manage the day-to-day accounting and purchasing processes that keep our operation running smoothly. If you enjoy staying organized, working independently, solving problems, and taking pride in accurate work, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with bookkeeping, accounts payable, purchasing support, or accounting clerk experience who enjoys working behind the scenes to help a business succeed.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Process vendor invoices and accurately enter bills into QuickBooks
• Prepare weekly check runs and assist with vendor payments
• Create purchase orders and help manage the purchasing process
• Place recurring supply and inventory orders within established purchasing guidelines
• Assist with accounts receivable activities
• Route invoices through established approval workflows
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with inventory and purchasing documentation
• Complete administrative and accounting special projects as assigned
• Collaborate with the Cost Controller and other departments to ensure accounting information is accurate and timely

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of bookkeeping, accounts payable, purchasing support, or accounting clerk experience preferred
• QuickBooks experience strongly preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree is not required

Compensation

Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Typical hiring ranges include:

• Entry Level: $16.00–$18.00/hour
• Experienced: $18.00–$20.00/hour
• Highly Experienced (5+ years): $20.00–$23.00/hour
