Make a difference in the lives of elementary school students by supporting their communication and language development in a dynamic academic setting! This contract opportunity is perfect for a driven, compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) dedicated to empowering young learners.

You’ll work closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist to serve a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, split between two elementary schools. The assignment runs from August 31st to June 4th, aligning conveniently with the school calendar. Enjoy a consistent full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and the ability to truly focus on positive student outcomes throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

• Active SLPA license in Minnesota required (please include your license number in your application)
• Experience providing therapy services in a school environment is strongly preferred
• Skilled in collaborating with educators, parents, and clinicians
• Ability to adapt to various student needs and learning styles
• Familiar with best practices and current approaches in pediatric speech-language support
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Reliable, self-motivated, and organized

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy under SLP supervision
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment goals
• Document student progress and contribute to therapy records
• Support classroom teachers with strategies and carryover techniques
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for reinforcement at home
• Travel between two elementary sites as part of your weekly routine
