About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 4 years required; open to candidates with 2+ years of experience License: Must have state license Certifications: RRT, BLS required; ACLS and ACCS preferred Must-Have: - Strong communication skills - Critical thinking skills - Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment Description: This position involves providing respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate should have experience in various respiratory procedures. Responsibilities include setup of aerosol therapy, intubation assistance, and performing chest physiotherapy. Candidates should also be familiar with drawing arterial blood gases and using mechanical ventilation techniques. Must be willing to work every other weekend and every other holiday, with a requirement to work two out of three winter holidays. All candidates must possess strong teamwork skills and be proactive in their practice. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Additional competencies in adult critical care and pulmonary hygiene are necessary. This role requires floating between sections as needed. The work environment may involve exposure to high-pressure alarms and emergency situations.
