About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred in level 4 NICU and cardiac PICU settings License: Valid state license Certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience, cardiac PICU experience preferred Description: The position requires a respiratory therapist to provide care in high-acuity neonatal and pediatric settings. The therapist will be responsible for working with patients in various critical care environments. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting. Experience working in all areas of a children's hospital is necessary. Competence in the use of specialized respiratory equipment such as Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A is required. The respiratory therapist will assist in high-risk deliveries and manage patients with complex respiratory diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support from respiratory services will be available. Candidates should be comfortable working with neonatal transports and various respiratory procedures. The role involves a commitment to weekend and holiday shifts as needed. The therapist will maintain a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with charting systems used in the facility is expected. Candidates must provide documentation of all required certifications and references.
