Director of Operations

The Director of Operations holds full P&L responsibility for the manufacturing facility, directing all aspects of production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and administrative functions. This individual will drive operational excellence, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives while building a strong leadership bench and maintaining the customer relationships that support the company's position as a trusted partner to the Automotive, Medical, Aerospace. Electronics and Military. The Director of Operations reports to executive/corporate leadership and serves as the senior-most site leader. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own full P&L and operational performance for the facility, including revenue, margin, cost control, and capital expenditure planning Direct day-to-day manufacturing operations across metal stamping, fabrication, tool & die, and value-added assembly processes Set and execute strategic plans for capacity, throughput, and productivity that align with company growth targets and customer demand Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-functional leadership team including Plant Manager(s), Quality, Engineering, Tooling, and Supply Chain leads Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs to reduce waste, improve throughput, and lower cost per part Ensure compliance with quality management systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 or equivalent) and industry-specific plumbing product certifications (e.g., NSF/ANSI, ASME, CSA as applicable) Oversee tooling strategy, press maintenance, and capital equipment investment to support current and future program launches Maintain and grow key customer relationships with OEMs and distributors in the commercial plumbing and building products space Drive safety culture and regulatory compliance (OSHA) across all shifts and departments Manage workforce planning, labor relations, and talent development in a union or non-union manufacturing environment as applicable Collaborate with corporate leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning Evaluate and implement new technology, automation, and process improvements to strengthen competitive position QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field; MBA a plus 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a General Manager, Plant Manager, or VP of Operations role Direct experience in metal stamping, precision fabrication, or metal forming manufacturing environments required Experience serving the Automotive, Medical, Electronics, Military and Aerospace products, or related industrial component industries strongly preferred Demonstrated success managing full P&L for a facility of comparable size and complexity Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and quality systems (ISO/IATF Proven ability to build, lead, and develop cross-functional teams in a multi-shift manufacturing operation Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-facing skills Experience with ERP systems, capital planning, and capacity/throughput analysis #J-18808-Ljbffr
