Contract lengths from 13 weeks up to February 27, 2027. Highlights: High-volume birthing unit with over 300 births per month and an average of 20 births in 24 hours 2:1 patient ratio with comprehensive intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care Advanced obstetrical services including scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births, cervical cerclage procedures, and obstetrical triage Epic charting system with PYXIS and SBAR protocols 24-hour orientation period with scrubs provided Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults in a fast-paced environment Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred Previous experience in high-volume facilities with 300 births per month is essential Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted) Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or Advanced), and NRP required Competency in circulating for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care Experience with high-risk antepartum patients, triage of obstetrical patients, and infant/neonatal arrest situations Proficiency with Epic charting system required Must be willing to float to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers experienced Labor & Delivery nurses the chance to work in one of the region's busiest birthing centers, providing exceptional care during critical moments in patients' lives.
