Float to high-risk obstetrical units as needed. Highlights: High-volume birthing center with over 300 births per month, averaging 20 births per 24-hour period Fast-paced environment with 30-40 admissions and 40 outpatient visits daily 2:1 patient ratios with dual labor assignments as a regular occurrence Comprehensive care including intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, obstetrical triage, and scheduled/unscheduled cesarean births Epic EMR system with 24 hours of paid orientation Contract options available for 13 to 26 weeks with up to 7 days requested time off Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred Prior experience in high-volume birthing centers (300 births/month) is essential Current North Carolina or Compact RN license Required certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP Competency in circulating for cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care Proficiency with Epic charting system and SBAR communication Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Ability to handle fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environments with confidence Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers experienced Labor & Delivery nurses the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-volume birthing center where clinical skills are continuously challenged and refined.
